My friend told me my life sounds like a soap at the moment. I guess I couldn't argue. Things are just happening so fast. I havn't been submitting much to this account. I got my first wedding gig this summer with someone I don't already know, so that's a pretty nice step up in my photography. Hopefully things will be settling down soon. I know I cheaped out on that last thingy I posted..I was all set to do it, then I was just sorta...forgot about it, sorry.

What did all of you do to celebrate the new year?

I don't know about all of you, but 2009 is going to start out wonderfully for me. If things continue on this path, it will be the best year yet.
My plans for New Years Eve is heading to downtown Grand Rapids for their first ever Ball Drop party. The Plain White Ts will be there performing. I'm debating whether to bring my tripod with me...It's rather large, and to take photos is not the main reason I'm heading down there. Either way, I intend to get some pictures.
So, why is this year going to be so great?
Done with school.
I'm making money.
I'm living life.
I'm loving life.
Nothing is stopping me anymore from doing what I want.
And...some other things.

I'm back at my moms house for the weekend, so I have internet again for a bit. Last week my brothers went out, so I havn't been on much. Hopefully that will get fixed soon though. And I got a router for christmas too, so I'll be able to start using my laptop again instead of my brothers desktop, as soon as he calls and gets the internet fixed.
I also have a lot of backed up photos. That doesn't usually happen to me, so I feel weird about it, lol But good news for you, because you should be getting a lot of new stuff to look at. So, enjoy it!

Tomorrow. I'm moving outta my parents house. Who woulda thought I'd be the only one to move out at 18 out of all my brothers? Kinda weird, to me. Anyways, yeah, I'm moving tomorrow. I was afraid I was going to have to stay here for a month longer. It..kinda super intensely sucks here. I'm glad to leave. And to Grand Rapids! Such a fun place, compared to all the places I've lived before.

I'm back from Ferris, and I'm never going back. It's a weird feeling. I hated it there, yet I was kinda sad actually leaving. Or maybe that was just me dreading being back at home, with absolutely nothing to do, and no proper place for me to sleep and keep all my stuff.

So, I'm only going to be staying with my parents for a little under a week ( I hope ) and then I'm moving to Grand Rapids to stay with my brother! This is too amazingly perfect on so many levels. When I decided I wanted to leave school, several scenarios popped into my head about what to do afterwards, and this was by far the most appealing idea, but wasn't the most likely idea. I'm soooo happy this is working out so wonderfully though. And this benefits all of you guys too! I'll be around the wonderfully photogenic Makenzi and Brody all the time now! Whoop!

It's started to snow here. xD I love it. And as I always do the first time in snows, I have started listening to Christmas music! I do like Thanksgiving, honestly, but rarely do I do anything for it. This year, I'll be stuck at home alone, because my mom will be working and my dad and brother will be hunting. Speaking of being home at Thanksgiving, I won't be going back to school afterwards. Last time i updated this, i wasn't sure as to when I would be quitting, be we decided, might as well just get it done with. Next week, I'll prolly go and actually drop the classes. I'm really only going to my graphic design classes at the moment anyways.
I'm still playing with the thought of going to Florida until the spring, but prolly won't.
So yeah, that's about all there is going on right now.

It's all but official that I won't be going back to school next semester. I plan on taking online classes and get my degree that way. There are a few people on here that might give me some crap about this, but I thought about it long and hard, for many weeks. Many things contributed to this final decision. Just...trust that I know whats best for myself.

I have regained faith in the human race.

I finally got my extension tube in the mail today! xD I'm so excited! I've only messed around with it a bit so far, what with all my homework. As soon as I get a bout half the work I need to get done done though, I'll go mess with it. So, I suppose expect some macros for sure soon!

I went down to my friends college this weeekend, Grand Valley, and had a ton of fun. Then, we went on a mini hike on this trail through the woods behind her apartment and I took a ton of pictures. I think I did pretty well, because I'm not used to taking nature scenery shots. I'll def. be putting them up, so watch out. Tell me what you think, because it's new territory to me...literally, xD

Well, first off, I want to thank ~onixa for feature me in her journal, and a news article, AND dedicating a picture to me! xD Thank you so much! You are wonderful! And along with that, I want to thank everyone recently that has comments, faved and watched me, it means so much!
Then, also yesterday, I won $15 from a photography site, viewbug.com and that was extremely pleasing. So yesterday was just a great day! xD What did I do with that $15 you may be asking? Well, I went on eBay and bought an extension tube for macro photography! I know it prolly won't be that great for being so cheap, but it's hard to go wrong with them it seems like. The only thing I can tell is that they are not as large as the more expensive ones. But for $10, what more can I ask for? It should arrive in 7-10 business days. xD

So, my mom is getting on my back about what I want for christmas, and originally I said a new drawing tablet without even thinking about it. But then I got thinking and now I'm wondering about maybe a macro lens...specifically the Sigma 50mm AF Macro (that's what I'm looking at right now, as it seems to be the cheapest macro lens, though if you have better suggestion, I would love to hear them.) So now, I don't know if I want the drawing tablet, or the lens...it's tricky. I think I'm still leaning towards the tablet though, because I can do macro pictures right now, just in a round about way, lol.
